PeterCxy Networks

A non-profit research autonomous system.

PeterCxy Networks (AS205908) is a research and non-profit autonomous system operated by students. This network is mainly built for learning BGP and network technologies. We also collect routing data from multiple sites and upstreams for analyzation and these data is shared with Isolario, a route collector project.

AS205908 is purely non-profit and is not offering any commercial service. However, we can help students who are interested in building their own network with information on basic BGP knowledge and the bootstrap process. If you are such a person, do not hesitate to contact us. We are also open to peerings via public IXP or tunnels.

Peer with AS205908

PeterCxy Networks (AS205908) has an open peering policy and we do not require a formal agreement before peering. However, peers should conform to the following basic requirements:

  • Peers may not point static / default route towards AS205908 unless explicitly authorised to do so.
  • Peers may not announce routes learned from AS205908 to their upstreams or peers (but possibly downstreams).
  • Peers may only send traffic to the addresses we announce through the BGP session to AS205908.
  • Peers may only send traffic originating from their own / customer networks.
  • Peers must maintain updated IRR entries (mainly route / route6 objects) corresponding to exactly the prefixes they are announcing to us.
  • Peers must operate an NOC that is reachable via phone or email.
  • Peers must cooperate in case of abuse.
